Over the past 30 years, the Friends of Lethbridge Public Library have donated well over 1.2 million dollars to the Lethbridge Public Library from donations, casinos and book sales revenue.

Our largest single expenditure was a donation of $150,000 in support of the Crossings Branch Library Building Campaign. Friends Place in the Library is named in recognition of this lead gift.

Other funded projects have included sustainable toys, children’s interactive stations, digital equipment for the Theatre Gallery, lendable Chromebooks with portable wifi, bicycle lockers and outdoor furniture for both  branches, the Millennium Garden at the Main Branch, indoor and outdoor signage at both branches, children’s materials and shelving, support for the Library’s grand piano, Crossings Branch atrium furnishings, printing of the Library bi-monthly Happening, sponsorship of the annual Word on the Street Literacy Festival, and much more.
